Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez is tempted by a move to the Premier League this summer as his spell in the Spanish capital looks like coming to an end, according to Marca

The Colombian superstar was a huge money signing for Los Blancos in 2014 following his heroics on the international front during that year’s World Cup, though has seen his progress stall.

Despite starting well, the 25-year old found life difficult under both Rafa Benitez and Zinedine Zidane and has reportedly been told by the Frenchman he doesn’t feature in his plans.

Amid the vast array of illustrious attacking talent at the Santiago Bernabeu, the former Monaco and Porto man is far down the pecking order for the Champions League winners.

An unused substitute in the club’s historic 11th European Cup victory, he is now thought to be tempted by a move to England, where he would undoubtedly be one of the major stars.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both understood to have cast keen eyes over his situation in the Spanish capital.

Though he doesn’t feature in Real’s plans, the club are said to value their midfielder at upwards of €80m.
