Euro giants readying £25m bid for Everton star, to spark major tussle with Man United

Everton are ready to reject a £25m offer from Barcelona for defender John Stones, as they value the England international closer to £45m, according to the Daily Mail.

Though the stock of the 22-year old has undoubtedly dropped in recent months after a series of unconvincing performances, he remains one of the most sought after properties in Europe.

The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been linked with major money moves for the ball playing central defender.

After reportedly being told by Paris Saint-Germain that Marquinhos would remaining in the French capital, the Blaugrana are thought to have turned their attentions to the former Barnsley youngster.

With a £25m bid expected to be on the way, it could spark a blockbuster transfer tussle between some of the biggest names in European football over the course of the next few months.
